CAS Trips Morocco

Morocco dazzles with Sahara dunes glowing copper at sunset, Atlas Mountain villages clinging to cliffs, and Fes’ labyrinthine tanneries steaming with natural dyes. Students will barter in Marrakech’s snake-charming souks, bake bread in Berber clay ovens, and ride camels to Erg Chebbi’s star-lit nomad camps. The cultural cocktail spans Andalusian mosaics, Amazigh oral poetry, and rooftop mint tea ceremonies overlooking ancient medinas.

Sample Itinerary In Morocco

Day 1 Arrive in Morocco

Upon arrival into Marrakech, you are greeted at the airport and transfered to a Berber village in the Atlas Mountains (2 hours). You have a welcome dinner and settle in to your surroundings.

Day 2 Cultural immersion and hike through villages

We have a fascinating day hiking through spectacular mountain scenery visiting villages and interacting with the local people, gaining insights into their lives.

We finish the day with a cooking lesson, so you can learn how to prepare delicious tajines and couscous.

Day 3-5 Volunteering: renovating a home

For the next three days we work alongside the local community to renovate the home of a low-income family who cannot afford to undertake the needed repairs on their home. This promises to be the highlight of your trip, and your students will bond together.

Day 6 Cultural tour of Marrakech

Marrakech is Morocco’s most enchanting city, and you will delight in exploring it with your Moroccan guides, taking in the local markets and souks, handcrafts, spices, the Koutoubia, Museum of Dar si Said, the

Tiskiwine Museum and the Museum of Marrakech.

We finish this enthralling day in Marrakech’s magical Djeema el Fna. In the evenings, the square really comes alive with snake charmers, magicians, and musicians playing mandolins, drums, guitars, and many other instruments. From these performances your students will see that Morocco clearly sits at the crossroads of many historically influential civilizations.

Day 7 Departure

After breakfast, depart to the airport for your flight out.
